Who is Suzanne?

Suzanne began working in the Social Service field in 1987 with the women and children living at DAWN House, a battered women’s shelter at the Women’s Center of San Joaquin County. She began her graduate work at California State University at Sacramento, graduating with a Masters degree in Social work in 1992. She went on to get her License in Clinical Social Work in 1999, developing an expertise in trauma and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.) Suzanne worked with men, women and children in domestic violence, substance abuse and sexual assault. She worked for many years in foster care, continuing her interest in working with families and children.

In 2002, she opened a private practice in Stockton, California. In 2005 she and her partner, Sam Beasley moved to the North State after acquiring Prevention Education Program, a Driving Under the Influence counseling and education program in Butte and Glenn Counties. In 2009 and 2010 Suzanne and Sam Bealsey co-authored two books on money and emotions, Wealth and Well-Being, and The Wealth and Well-Being Workbook. Suzanne began her practice in Chico in 2006. She currently is focusing her time in offering seminars, retreats and trainings.

Suzanne is currently open to working with artists and the creative process. She is active in her art as a Photographer and writer.
